Social media – How often and what to post

How to optimize social media for your business. It paralyses many entrepreneurs 🤯. Around you, you see influencers and big time companies having hundreds of thousands if not million followers, post umph time a day. How will you ever get up to their league? Well. Don’t. You don’t have to. Here you’ll read what you should do instead to become successful.

For Dutch scroll down.

Rule number 1: don’t get dragged into the rat race. You don’t have to be online 24/7. Don’t you have better things to do?

🤓 People or business that post a gazillion time a day either have a team behind it or a tool that posts automatically for them. Have you ever paid attention to those posts? They are often a repetition of the same message. That’s not lazy by the way, but smart. Repetition is power. Why? Because social media is fast. Your followers get a gazillion number of messages a gazillion times a day. Combined with busy lives it fuels ‘out of sight is out of heart’. Whether your follower found that one certain post interesting or not. One screaming toddler in between and poof, your post is erased from their memory. Until, the next time they see it coming by. Did you know something has to come across you 7 times before it sticks in your memory? It is therefore actually helpful for your customers to see something coming by again.

Rule number 2: Post yourself

🤓 So, what to share then on social media? YOU! Business is personal. Think about it: why do you follow certain people? Why do you like that one expert and find that other one annoying? Because you feel a click, or not. The same goes for people who hire you. So, show yourself in pictures and in videos. Only that way your followers have a change to get to know you and thus feel they have a connection with you.

Rule number 3: behind the scenes

Yourself it is. But how does that translate to what to post? That’s quite simple: Share what you’re up to. A screenshot of your screen. Photo in your studio. Post of the different topics you are working on for clients. Location spotting for your next workshop. Reading a business book with a tip you learned from it for your customers… kind of a peak behind the scenes of your business.

Rule number 4: Offer help to their problem

But what about my product or services? Well of course you have to talk about that! You want to make money with your business, right? But instead of just solely talking about your next workshop or digital planner, talk about the problem your client is facing and how your product or service can fix that. So, what does your client need help with? What is (s)he looking for? Talk about that when offering your product or service.

JEZELF. Business is namelijk persoonlijk. Waarom volg jij bepaalde mensen?

Heel simpel: twee dingen:
